Nicholas Hulley to co-chair Campaign Big Awards 2024

TheOr’s Charlene Chandrasekaran and Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO’s Nicholas Hulley have been named chairs of the Campaign Big Awards 2024.

Chandrasekaran joined TheOr as executive creative director alongside Dan Morris in January 2023 and has previously spent time at Droga5 and Bartle Bogle hegarty London. 

She has worked on clients such as Tails.com, Harry’s, Barclaycard, Ancestry and Axe.

Chandrasekaran told Campaign: “It’s an absolute honour to be co-chairing the 2024 Campaign Big Awards, an organisation I credit for helping to shape mine and Dan’s career all those many years ago. I will do my utmost to make sure ‘How the hell did that win?!’ does not happen on my watch.”

Hulley has worked at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO for almost 14 years, being promoted to chief creative officer in January 2022, and works alongside joint chief creative officer Nadja Lossgott. He previously worked at TBWA.

He has helped to create campaigns for brands including Guinness, Voxi, Sheba, Currys and Bodyform.

Hulley added: “It’s a treat to spend time immersed in great ideas and beautiful craft. It’s a privilege to do it at Campaign Big, which is a pure concentration of UK creativity. And it’s an honour to be asked to be co-chair. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

The Campaign Big Awards will be judged by a panel of creative leaders and rising stars they nominate. Those interested in being a judge can nominate themselves or a colleague here

The judging panel currently includes Ian Heartfield, founder and chief creative officer at New Commercial Arts, Lee Tan, chief creative officer and co-founder of Motel, Nicola Wood, executive creative director at Ogilvy London, and Rasmus Smith Bech, executive creative director at BBC Creative, with more to be announced.

The standard deadline to enter the Campaign Big Awards is 11 July and the late entry deadline will be 25 July.
