AMV BBDO is setting up a community management unit called AMV Pulse, which will provide a way for clients to embed social listening, activation and management into the heart of their brand and their yearly planning process. It will provide clients with the resources required to turn social insights into creative briefs and more importantly, manage and maintain the conversations consumers in social spaces during and between new campaigns and ideas. With the divide between broadcast and social communications narrowing, having community management  fully integrated into the way that we work will be highly beneficial for agency and clients alike, as we place social insight at the heart of the creative origination. It also allows us to have dedicated PR and media talent in-house. To kick-start this exciting new venture, AMV BBDO have hired Paul McCrudden, from the integrated communications agency, Imagination, where he specialised in the strategy and production of innovative brand experiences. He has also won a Guardian Mega Innovation Award for his consumer experiment #sixweeks and a BIMA Award for Best Blog. Working alongside Paul, will be Naomi Martin from social brand agency Headstream. Ian Pearman, Chief Executive at AMV BBDO, comments: “Our clients have a real appetite for this. Placing it at the heart of brand planning and creative is essential, and these hires allow us to do just that."
